Hemp has hundreds of uses, like rope, building material, textile fabrics, and more. When processed, a hemp plant produces around 40 percent CBD extract. And, though hemp looks a lot like cannabis, it produces healthy oil that is void of psychoactive chemicals.

And, learn about the different ways in which you can use healthy hemp oil in your everyday life.

What’s Healthy Hemp Oil?

Apart from the material goods that are manufactured from hemp, the plant is extracted for its nutrient-rich oil. Healthy hemp oil comes from the stalks, leaves, seeds, and flowers of the hemp plant. Hemp oil is healthy because of its high levels of cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes.

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that naturally act upon neuroreceptors in your body. Specifically, cannabinoids communicate to cell receptors through your bodies endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system stretches across almost every system of your body.

There are over 100 naturally occurring cannabinoids in the hemp plant. The most abundant cannabinoid in hemp is CBD or cannabidiol. Studies show that CBD has anti-seizure, anti-inflammatory, and antibiotic properties.

Flavonoids occur naturally in many plants. It is the main coloring agent for flowers and vegetables. Flavinoids are found in abundance in parsley, blueberries, tea, and grapes.

Flavinoids are also found in hemp oil. They are non-toxic and a safe natural phytonutrient to ingest. Studies show that flavinoids encourage production of uric acid, which has antioxidant properties.

Terpenes are responsible for the strong aromas and flavors of vegetation. Terpenes are the main ingredient in essential oils and contain nutrients like vitamin A. Terpenes also help your body to better absorb and process the cannabinoids in hemp oil.

Hemp Oil vs. Cannabis Oil

Hemp and marijuana are both varieties of the same plant family, so they produce many of the same chemical compounds. Whereas marijuana or cannabis is highly regulated for its psychoactive effects, hemp has been an industrial staple for thousands of years.

If you live in a state that offers recreational cannabis products, you see two types of CBD oil available: Hemp CBD or Pure CBD. Cannabis-derived CBD oil is considered “pure” in that the plant has a higher resin and CBD content.

Healthy hemp oil is available to buy and sell openly and legally across the United States. Cannabis CBD oil is only available in states with, either medical or recreational marijuana laws.

The difference between hemp oil and cannabis oil is vast, even though they are both members of the Cannabis Sativa family. Hemp and cannabis plants look very similar, but hemp doesn’t get you “high”. The psychoactive compound in cannabis, THC, is not produced by the hemp plant.

THC or tetrahydrocannabinol is the cannabinoid responsible for weeds euphoric effects and is abundant in the flowers of cannabis. Cannabis oil contains THC, but hemp oil does not.

Whereas cannabis produces a lot of THC and CBD, hemp oil only produces a lot of CBD. Hemp oil contains less than 0.3 percent THC in most states. Pure healthy hemp oil, therefore, is legally available in all 50 states.

What is CBD?

The main medicinal compound in both plants is CBD. THC is useful for many patients pain relief and help with staying asleep. CBD, however, works to re-task your body from the cellular level to regulate healthy functionality.

CBD rich healthy hemp oil is great for anxiety relief, joint pain, depression, and diabetes–just to name a few. THC induces a temporary state, whereas CBD builds up in your system to permanently fix unhealthy systems.

Hemp oil is also a great product to help revitalize your skin, hair, and reduce wrinkles. Hemp oil contains high amounts of omega-3 and omega-6 that moisturizes dry skin. And, its high in vitamin B, C, D, and E.

There are many ways of ingesting healthy hemp oil. You can do just about anything with hemp oil – it’s used in cooking, vaping, rubbing, dropping, and more.
